The City of Worcester takes a stand to ask Cable Giant Charter Communications to NOT relocate the PEG channels, and now this morning, PUBLIC ACCESS is not as accessable

PAYBACK ???? You may have read this: http://worcestermag.com/2014/10/20/worcester-city-manager-ed-augustus-threatens-lawsuit-charter/28266 and this morning. . .
If you are trying to find WCCA TV 13 on cable in parts of Worcester, GOOD LUCK !
Some might find us on cable channel 194, others will find themselves with Set Top Box problems, confusing preview guides, no reference to WCCA TV, Worcester’s FLAGSHIP PUBLIC ACCESS Television station. WCCA TV is an institution that stands for Media Demoracy and Creative Innovation.
Thanks to “Charter Communication’s” disregard to communities in Massachusetts and especially in Worcester, their decision to relocate PEG channel has serious repercussion . Now we find OUR ( the PEOPLE OF WORCESTER) PUBLIC ACCESS Channel ( WCCA TV ) , our programs, the programs we sponsor, the programs we use to get OUR information and messages out, is being shut out from being easily accessible to subscribers, and communities who depend upon our programming. WCCA TV can not fully monitor it’s own output and return, the set top boxes in our facility do not all work, Charter is forcing us and municipal buildings to pay for additional boxes needed to do our job, which is contrary to why we are supposed to received support from the the Cable license in the first place. The preview guide is even confused, it is displaying our titles on the “NFL” channel, and to make matters worse we are receiving calls form viewers who are confused as well. We called CHARTER late yesterday afternoon, and this morning and are waiting to hear from them still. This is not what the City Cable license intended when they signed the Cable License agreement.
This is costing and hurting WCCA TV, cable subscribers, our viewers and members more than the other local channels, not just because of the unfair costly burden to have to re-brand, but the obligation we have toward the City, our sponsors, our COMMUNITY PRODUCERS and their shows and guest, our volunteers, all who invest in us and the hundreds who depend on WCCA TV for outreach purposes. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE !!! Wait until the schools and other municipal buildings try to access cable the catastrophe will soon be amplified. We just want to go back and do our job and not be force to respond to this CHARTER Bullshit. We notice TV 3 is working fine though. What’s up with that? UNFAIR and UNJUST !
You can still watch us line at http://www.wccatv.com in spite of Charter.
