WCCA TV Special Presentations

WCCA TV was at the MASSPIRG Education Fund press conference on November 21, 2017, at the YWCA. Evan Gaudette, MASSPIRG Education Fund YWCA Child Care Expert, reported that despite improvements from recent product safety regulation reform, there are still dangerous toys on store shelves that pose a safety hazard. MASSPIRG is an independent, non-partisan group that works for consumers and the public interest. Exclusively on WCCA TV!

Recently, Joseph Townsend of WCCA TV interviewed Sara Zoe Budnik, who plays the role of
“Mother” in A Christmas Story, which was featured at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, on November 9-12, 2017. This interview has been posted on our website. Watch WCCA TV and have yourself a Merry Christmas!!

WCCA TV Program Notes

  • Tune into new episodes of Soapbox in December, hosted by the WCCA TV Executive Director Mauro DePasquale. New episodes will feature Patricia Burke from SAFE Helps You; Erin Deveny from the Massachusetts RMV to discuss REAL ID , and artist Frank Poor. Frank Poor’s art exhibit is at the Art Gallery at Anna Maria College in Paxton, now until December 22, 2017. The gallery hours are 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, when school is in session. Please call ahead or email dwackell@annamaria.edu to schedule your visit. There is something for everyone on WCCATV, The People’s Channel! Soapbox can be seen on WCCA TV, Channel 194 in Worcester, and streaming live online at wccatv.com on Saturdays at 10:30 pm and Sundays at 6:30 pm. To be a guest, contact tracy@wccatv.org.
  • Know Your Rights is a show to inform viewers of their civil rights, hosted by Ron Madnick. In this episode, Ron talks about Separation of Church and State. Watch WCCA TV to learn about your rights!
  • Rosen’s Round Table is a political and current issue program, hosted by City Councilor Gary Rosen and produced by WCCA TV. In this episode, Gary and his panel members talk about Election 2017. Rosen’s Round Table will have all new shows in January 2018. Encore presentations will be aired during the month of December. View the shows on demand at wccatv.com.
  • Exposure With Mosher is a WCCA TV program that spotlights entrepreneurs, innovators, and good news. Show host Amy Mosher Berry welcomes Riley Benner, the founder of Phoenix Haberdashery, and Emil Farjo of Ascentria Care Alliance to the show. In another episode, Amy chats with Sid Rivas, Amanda Rivas and Wanda Viruet from Xtreme Team.
  • Activate Worcester, hosted by Ron Motta, is a WCCA-TV produced program that shows viewers how to participate and become active in Worcester. Ron welcomes Matilde Castiel, the Commissioner
    of Health and Human Services     in Worcester. In another episode, Ron chats with Chris Pinto about guns.
  • Time for a coffee break and another episode of Coffee With Konnie. Host of the program, City Councilor Konnie Lukes, has coffee with Tiffany Gallo, the Business Development Executive for Cutler Associates. Konnie Lukes has been recording her show at WCCA TV since 2002! In the premiere episode recorded in 2002, Konnie has coffee with the WCCA TV Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale.
  • Tune into Hidden Treasures as host Bill Safer shows you how to find that hidden antique or
    collectible that just may add cash to your life. Today’s hidden treasure is Bill’s guest Linda Kotsopoulos, the owner of Nu-Tiques At The Barn.
  • This Is Worcester is a WCCA TV program, hosted and produced by community activist Bill Coleman. The program focuses on interesting Worcester facts. In this episode, Bill’s guest is Ernie Floyd from the brand new radio station in Worcester, Unity Radio.
  • Connecting The Dots is a non-traditional legal program with the emphasis on the attorney as a trusted advisor, with an interdisciplinary approach to solving life’s issues. Host of the program, Attorney Liz Myska, welcomes Brian McCarthy from the Green Hill Park Coalition.
  • What It’s Worth is a WCCA TV show definitely worth watching! Host of the show, Tommy Colletta, welcomes Elaine Bafaro and Carmelita Bello from the Mount Carmel Preservation Society. In another episode, Tommy
    welcomes Dave O’Gara back to the show.
  • Perspectives with Asima Silva is a WCCA TV program that features local and national guests sharing their perspectives on politics, current events, mental and emotional health,
    as well as religion. Today’s episode features Hasnaa Mokhtar, the Executive Director of The Center for
    Non-Violence    .
  • Ramona Pokoly is the host of Ramona Interviews, a talk show that features interesting guests from all walks of life. Ramona’s guest is Masheri Chappelle, the author of the book The Oracle Files: Escape.
  • Close To Home is a show about people and situations that demonstrate deep respect for mankind, hosted by Molly Finn. In this episode, Molly welcomes the group Musicians for Life to the show for a live performance.
  • Video Jam is your source for eclectic music videos. Your favorite host, Tracy Foley, has been presenting mainstream and indie rock for more than 10 years on cable TV public access stations.   • Time for another episode of Workout Worcester! Learn, educate, inspire and motivate yourself with fitness expertise by Yenny Polanco. In this episode, Yenny’s workout session takes place at the Green Hill Park in Worcester.
  • Senior Speak is a program by WCCA TV in collaboration with the Worcester Senior Center. Senior issues are discussed and a good time is had by all. Senior Speak is recorded at the Worcester Senior Center, located at 128 Providence St., on Tuesdays at 2 PM. Stop by and be a part of the show!
  • Static Fusion is an alternative performance art and musical variety program, produced with the facilities of WCCA. The show is put together by the creative genius of Jim Racicot and Uncle Allen. Jim takes us to the Worcester Pride Festival.
  • Tune into another yummy episode of Cooking with Georgia and Dez. In this episode, Georgia and Dez show the viewers how to prepare a pasta dish with chicken. Real Food, Real People, Real Simple!

Since 1986, WCCA TV has always bee a creative space and a place that has engaged people of all backgrounds in bringing the city to life through creative expression of story telling, engaging community television talk programming, music, dance, television journalism, dramatic arts and film/video making, public art and multi media works, and to exercise free speech. It’s a space for everyone to get engaged in the arts in an active way.
A diversity of thousands of people attended WCCA educational class and workshops, participated in content creation, our public events, and our programs are seen in Worcester and around the world on line.
