Seminar: Unlocking the Mystery of Lupus Date: April 26, 2007, 5:30 PM, light meal will be provided Location: YWCA of Central Massachusetts, One Salem Square, Worcester, MA 01608 Purpose of the Seminar: this free seminar will raise awareness about lupus among women of African descent. Approximately, 90% of the 1.5 million individuals who suffer from lupus are women. In addition, seminar participants will be provided brochures and other literature related to lupus. All individuals will be accommodated despite disability status. In order to make appropriate accommodations for all individuals, we strongly encourage pre-registration by April 16th. However, onsite registration will also be available. Who is Conducting the Seminar: GEARS, Inc. is working with partners at the Lupus Foundation of New England; the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Center for Environmental Health; the Arthritis Foundation; and the Urban League of Springfield. For More Information: please contact Dr. Marie Mesidor, GEARS Program Coordinator, at 617.328.5140 or mmesidor@getingears.com. Pre-registration by April 16, 2007 is strongly encouraged.

Hi, all... The Central MA Heartwalk will be on Saturday, April 28th, 2007, from 10 AM to noon. Sign up and do a couple of miles, from the Worcester Common behind City Hall, up to Shrewsbury Street, and back. More info is at www.worcesterheartwalk.org. Everyone has been affected by heart disease. For myself, I am honored to have been selected to provide entertainment during the day by playing acoustic guitar and singing at mile marker 1 - 225 Shrewsbury St., outside of Coral Seafood. I'm doing this in memory of my father, Emile Kirouac, and brother, Rodney Kirouac - both of whom were taken by heart-related ailments. More also at http://dankirouac.freeservers.com. Thank you! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
