This two-part program will focus on the life of the little brown bat, aka. Myotis lucifugus. The maternal bat colony at this park has between 600 and 900 nursing bats that can be seen at dusk leaving the shed they call home, to feed on the insects surrounding the water. The first program will focus on general bat ecology and reproduction, and the second will cover migration and hibernation. The presentation includes use of videos, printed materials, crafts, and activities.
