Cornerstone Quilters of Charlton, MA is presenting "Threads of Friendship" Quilt Show at Tantasqua Regional High School, Rte 148/Brookfield Rd, Fiskdale, MA. on Saturday, 7/21, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 7/22, 10am-4pm. Quilt display, demonstrations, vendors and more. Admission $5; children under 12 free with a paid adult. Handicap accessible and plenty of free parking.

Reality show personality Boston Rob Mariano will host TONTINE - a new reality series looking for competitive individuals to compete in the biggest reality show ever! The show will take place on every continent over 100 days. The winner will receive $10 MILLION!

Beginning June 30 and continuing throughout the summer, Mariano and acclaimed Hollywood casting director Tad Frank, whose credits include Survivor, The Amazing Race and The Bachelor, will travel to select cities where they will choose 15 lucky contestants to participate in an adventure that will undoubtedly change their lives. The signature vehicle, a tricked-out armored transport truck will visit city landmarks throughout the week providing an opportunity for people to learn more about the TONTINE and try their luck at cracking the safe for additional prizes.

Candidates must be over the age of 21, physically and mentally adept, able to adjust easily to new environments, and above all else, have a gung ho nature and do anything to win attitude. Those who are chosen to participate will travel to all seven continents and face mental and physical challenges over the course of 100 days.

We will introduce you to the newest piece of land acquired by the sanctuary, and discuss future plans for the area. The round-trip totals 5 miles. This two-part program will focus on the life of the little brown bat, aka. Myotis lucifugus. The maternal bat colony at this park has between 600 and 900 nursing bats that can be seen at dusk leaving the shed they call home, to feed on the insects surrounding the water. The first program will focus on general bat ecology and reproduction, and the second will cover migration and hibernation. The presentation includes use of videos, printed materials, crafts, and activities.
> Moore State Park is located on Route 31 in Paxton (approximately 1 mile from Paxton center). Hats, long sleeves and pants, and binoculars recommended. For ages 5 and older. The College of the Holy Cross and Redfeather Theatre will again partner to present Shakespeare’s Richard III from Aug. 1 to 19, Wednesdays through Sundays, at 7 p.m., at the Memorial Grove Amphitheatre in Green Hill Park.
