The Blackstone Canal opened Worcester to the sea. Buried beneath Harding Street, the Canal invites you to explore its past and glimpse its future at CanalFest, where tasty food, wonderful music and historical presentations will swirl around a water-filled Canal replica 75 feet long. A good old fashioned street festival with fun kids activities, food, great entertainment, vendors, arts, crafts, magicians, face painting, raffles...but in the heart of it will be a reconstruction of the segment of the blackstone canal 75 feet long with 4,500 gallons of water reminiscent of the old fashioned days when the canal connected Worcester County to Providence.
