The Citywide Parents Planning Advisory Council (CPPAC) will host “Know Your School Committee Candidates’ Night” on Wednesday October 17, 2007 from 7:00-9:30 PM at the Worcester Technical High School. The moderator for the evening will be TV and radio personality Jordan Levy. Mr. Levy is a former Worcester Mayor and former School Committee member. All Worcester School Committee candidates have been invited to speak on their positions related to School Program Cuts, Budget Priorities, and Closing the Achievement Gap. School Committee Candidates will also be asked to respond to questions from members of the audience.
Elections in Worcester will be held on November 6, 2007. CPPAC is coordinating this event so that caring parents who vote in the city will have an opportunity to learn about the candidates’ positions on issues of concern.
CPPAC is an advisory council to the Administration and School Committee of the Worcester Public Schools. The council is made up of parents and guardians who represent the schools that their children attend.
