Community Immunity/flu shot day

Why?
Doing all you can to protect you and your neighbor from disease, such as getting a flu shot, is known as “Community Immunity.”

We invite you to participate in this effort while the City of Worcester tests its emergency preparedness and dispensing site plans. You will receive your vaccination during this emergency drill.

Who?
The Flu Vaccine will be administered to adult Worcester residents, with a special concern for those over 50 years of age and under 50 years of age with a medical condition, chronic illness or healthcare workers.

What?
Participants must bring ALL insurance cards, which in most cases will cover the $26.00 vaccine fee for those who meet the above criteria. Vaccine will also be made available for those who do not have insurance or cannot afford the fee.

When?
Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where?
Forest Grove Middle School, 495 Grove Street and Accelerated Learning Lab (ALL School), 15 Claremont Street

How?
Handicap parking is available at both locations.

Overflow parking for the ALL School is available at UMMHC Worcester City Hospital Campus, 26 Queen Street.

Shuttle buses will provide transportation from the parking lot to the clinic location.

Interpreter Services will be available.
