The Voice of Heard/The CityKids Foundation
Submitted by TC Tim on May 15, 2008 - 10:14am.
Of all the youth programs that I heard of or learned about through papers and the internet, I don't think I have ever known something quite like the CityKids Foundation, based in New York City. They use programs 'that help young people ages 13-19 to use their voices for positive change.' Such programs are said to be youth-driven, youth-relevant, evidence-based, effective, and employ multi-dimensional perspectives. CityKids use the arts 'to engage and train young people to create positive and powerful solutions to issues impacting their lives.'
