A message from the WCCA Board of Directors
Submitted by wccatv on October 1, 2008 - 11:03am.
WCCA TV 13 is a quality organization that provides members of the community with unique means to communicate to the community as a whole and serves an important purpose. Any proposed cuts would be to the detriment of the City and its citizens.
We are grateful of the dynamic and pro-active leadership of Mr. DePasquale and the hard work of our dedicated and talented staff. WCCA is a cutting-edge and award-winning community media resource as it facilitates public access for the second largest city in New England with innovative and diverse activity. WCCA is representative of public access excellence as shown in the form of a robust community television studio and community center that rivals many local major broadcast enterprises.
WCCA is an open, honest and forthright entity and looks forward to discussing any issues with the City and the City Manager, in an open dialogue. We will continue to provide additional information as requested by the City. WCCA is, and will remain, extremely transparent and engaged and we will continue to submit more disclosures and reports as needed to demonstrate the hard work, successes and accomplishments of our station. WCCA looks forward to cooperating with such disclosure and reporting requirements, as it offers us the opportunity to educate the City and the public as a whole of the phenomenal work that is accomplished by WCCA, its staff, its members for the benefit of the people of Worcester on a daily basis. WCCA is vital to increasing the diversity of opinions, knowledge and cultural strength of the Worcester community. We are confident that the City of Worcester and the public recognize that the work of WCCA is ongoing and deserves continuing funding to promote the economic and cultural well-being of the City.
On behalf of WCCA we would like to thank all the people in Worcester, our members and surrounding communities that have called, emailed, and stopped by to express their continuing support for WCCA, its staff, its programming and its current funding levels.
Sincerely, on behalf of the WCCA TV Board of Directors
Michael Bafaro, President, WCCA TV

WCCA TV 13 the public's eye opener.
I have grown up in the city of Worcester and have seen many changes through out my teen and adult years. I have recently been in the down town area and there are many businesses functioning monday thru friday. Its the amazing how down town becomes a ghost town after 5:00PM and forget about the weekends. Having WCCA on Main street pulls in a great majority of its community to the area. The station invites everyone to participate and get involved in the educational sector of Worcester Ma. What I would like to see happen in my city is the awareness of the community to expand and grow and Mauro DePasquale is working diligently to get the political groups to do the same. This community needs the support of City Hall to make down town come alive. Working together and supporting every aspect of businesses in the city only makes the Worcester better. Stop the nonsense and pull it together CITY HALL.
