Award winning BANDEDGE now sounding better

th_rasmauro.jpg

WCCA TV is now updating it's studio “audio” recording facility. Thanks to a grant made possible from the Worcester Local Cultural Commission and a partnership with WPI and E.dagener Group, audio specialist, WCCA TV is undergoing a comprehensive series of investigating and beta testing audio recording designs focusing upon addressing WCCA's unique need to address a diversity of musical genres available in Worcester.

Award winning WCCA TV 13's “BandEdge”, a local originated television show, which places the spotlight on local area musical groups and bands, is the beta test production and the perfect environment to develop an efficient recording procedure and system, using the best available equipment that WCCA can afford, to render quality audio recording to compliment the fine video work produced in our studio.

WCCA is a Toys for Tots donation drop off location

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. It needs your support to be successful.
WCCA is proud to have a Toys For Tots collection box in the lobby at 415 Main Street. It's not too late for you to drop off your toy donations.
There are several convenient ways to donate to Toys for Tots. As well as bringing a new unwrapped toy to the drop off at WCCA, until Monday December 22nd. You can also donate online, by email, via eBay, via PayPal, using Coke rewards, or even donate a vehicle.

Exciting activity at WCCA TV

Today, as I walked through the facilty, while meeting with a an HVAC tech to measure for a special air conditioning unit to service our playback room which has been recently installed with a new Telvue system server, I realized that all 14 edit suites were occupied. Community producers working on their next production. When I finished that meeting, I was anxious to get to my computer to view the last nights BandEdge video clips. I was amazed at what our partnership with WPI and audio engineer Mark Daily had produced. Four episodes of quality audio and video featuring four great Worcester Jazz bands. You will have to tune in to near future episodes as soon as we complete editing. If you love big band and jazz, you will not want to miss those episodes. Today, our board members placed the near final head count for WCCA's gala Harvest Moon Dinner Dance which will be a fabulous night for sure.
