Cirignano trial

WCCA TV's own Mike Benedetti attended the hearing this afternoon concerning the case about an alleged assault that took place at an anti-gay marrage rally nearly a year ago in front of city hall.

Read what he had to say about it at pie and coffee.

This case may raise potent questions regarding free speech and its ties to civil relationships. Rights to conduct a peaceful assembly, and rights to protest.

Violence is something that should never be tolerated. Everyone bears a responsibility to respect the freedoms we all share in a civil and peaceful way.

I invite experts in law regarding free speech, civic rights, public protest to contact me, asap, to join us in a public discussion on this subject on WCCA TV 13, "The People's Channel".
