If you are between the ages of 3 and 5, bring your favorite adult for a thematic hour of a story, an activity, and a naturalist-led walk. Register early for this very popular series since space is limited. Be prepared to go outside. For ages 3 to 5, with adult. Fee: $7.00 Members, $10.00 Non-members. This two-part program will focus on the life of the little brown bat, aka. Myotis lucifugus. The maternal bat colony at this park has between 600 and 900 nursing bats that can be seen at dusk leaving the shed they call home, to feed on the insects surrounding the water. The first program will focus on general bat ecology and reproduction, and the second will cover migration and hibernation. The presentation includes use of videos, printed materials, crafts, and activities.

Join us for a leisurely paced hike from the sanctuary visitor center, over the Blackstone Bikeway, and back up and over the Sagatabscot Ridge. We will introduce you to the newest piece of land acquired by the sanctuary, and discuss future plans for the area. The round-trip totals 5 miles. Be sure to bring water and snacks to enjoy along the way. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. For adults. Fee: FREE. Pre-registration is required for most programs.
