Candidate Open Mic 2017

WCCA TV had a Candidate Open Mic Night on October 23, 2017 and all City Council and  School Committee Candidates  were welcome to speak about what they stand for and the issues that mean the most to them in our city.  We thank Krystian King, Mayor Joe Petty, John Monfredo, Dante Comparetto, Brian O'Connell, Donna Colorio, Sarai Rivera, Dianna Biancheria and George Russell for taking part in the event which was hosted by WCCA TV Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale.  
 

Worcester District 5 Council Candidates, 2017

On Wednesday September 6, 2017 at the IBEW Hall on Mill Street in Worcester, Mass.  the 4 candidates for District 5, met to discuss their platforms. Candidates were Doug Arbetter, Benjamin Champagne, Paul Franco, and Matt Wally.

 

WCCA TV 194 was proud to co-sponsor the 17th Worcester District State Representative Debate between Kate Campanale and Moses Dixon Thursday, October 27 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM at Our Lady of Angels hall, 1222 Main St., Worcester. The event was hosted by Gary Rosen and moderated by Andy LaCombe. Panelists included WCCA TV 194 Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale, Hank Stoltz, host of the WCRN Morning News, and Walter Bird Jr. of Worcester Magazine.
 

Worcester City Council District 2 candidate forum

On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Plumley Village Apartments hosted a Town Hall-style forum for Worcester City Council District 2 candidate, Jennithan Cortes.  Plumley Village—owned by leading nonprofit housing developer The Community Builders, Inc.—extended the invitation to Cortes and Candy Mero-Carlson who is also vying for the seat.

 

Mauro DePasquale, executive director of WCCA-TV moderated the forum which was attended by more than 40 residents. Cortes answered numerous questions on topics ranging from education to neighborhood safety from a panel of residents and audience members. Incumbent School Committee candidate, Hilda Ramirez also attended and spoke at the event.

On October 14,2015 WCCA held an Open Mic event to provide candidates for the Worcester School Committee and City Council November election to present themselves to the voting public.
 

WCCA TV recorded the Worcester City Councilor At Large Candidates Debate September 30, 2015 with 12 candidates;
Joseph M. Petty, Christina Zlody, Konstantina B. Lukes, Morris A. Bergman, Michael Gaffney, Juan Gomez, Kathleen M. Toomey, Matthew Wally, William S. Coleman III, Linda Parham, Robert Sargent, Khrystian King.The forum was held at the Worcester Public Library. It was organized by the Initiative for Engaged Citizenship, Worcester Common Ground, the Worcester NAACP and other community organizations.

 

Mayoral Debate at WCCA Oct 7, 2015

A debate was held at WCCA TV in Worcester on October 7, 2015 with the three Worcester Mayoral Candidates. It was hosted by Walter Bird, Editor of the Worcester Magazine, and moderated by Mauro DePasquale Executive Director of WCCA TV.  The candidates for Mayor of Worcester are Joseph Petty, William Coleman, III., and Michael Gaffney. Election Day is November 3, 2015 and polls are open 7am until 8pm.

WCCA TV recorded the City of Worcester Mayoral Candidates Debate at Mechanics Hall on September 28 2015 with candidates, Joseph Petty, Michael Gaffney and William Coleman, III. The event was sponsored by the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Worcester Regional Research Bureau in partnership with Mechanics Hall.
