HYE SPIRIT 2015

The "HYE" in HYE SPIRIT 2015 means "ARMENIAN."  This is the fifth edition of the series of productions by the Armenian Church Of Our Saviour in Worcester.  The first was in 2008, continuing in 2009, 2011, and 2013, each with a specific theme showcasing the Armenian Spirit. The 2015 version is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire which historically began on April 24, 1915 and eventually claimed the lives of over 1,500,000 men, women, and children.  In music, song, dance, and dramatic recitations, the first genocide of the modern era is traced back to its roots before 1915 and then brought to to its tragic consequences, ending in a spirit of survival and hope that continues to this day.
