A WCCA TV Special Presentation:
WCCA TV recently conducted a ‘TV13 Open Mic’ on the subject of the Slot Parlor/Hotel Project proposed in Worcester. A number of Worcester area residents participated at the open-mic event and expressed their opinion on the matter. This program will be cable and webcast, and is available for on-demand viewing at WCCA’s website. Cablecast days and times are:

Programming Highlights:

What’s on WCCA TV13? Plenty of great local programming created and presented to you by your friends and neighbors! Ben Allotey, longtime member of WCCA TV and producer of ‘Youth Session’, is back on the channel with ‘Ben: Behind the Scenes’, a show that features many interesting topics. ‘High School: A Survivor’s Guide’ is a show that sheds light on a number of issues that high school students face, such as bullying, prescription drug misuse, eating disorders, teenage depression, and gay bashing. ‘Drawing with Mark’ with animator Mark Marderosian, is a program designated for children who love to draw. Mark teaches your children how to draw as they learn all about dinosaurs, the solar system, and other fascinating topics. ‘Drawing with Mark’ is seen weekly on Channel 13, on Sundays at 2 pm. This WCCA TV field production features an ELSEWHERE interview at Ralph’s Dinner in Worcester, with band members Michael Aroian and Craig Morrisson. The interview was originally aired on Channel 13’s video music program, Video Jam, hosted by Tracy Foley. If you missed it, you can watch it now: here

Mark Your Calendar:

It’s that time of the year again! WCCA TV 13 is again a proud media sponsor of Father’s Fest at Institute Park in Worcester. The event will take place on Saturday, June 15th, from 12pm till 4pm. Father’s Fest is a celebration of fatherhood, and it will feature live music and entertainment, ice cream, parent AND child activities, resource tables, and much more. Watch for the WCCA TV cameras at Father’s Fest and wish the holiday to all the fathers out there!

SOAPBOX is an easy access, community awareness program. This flagship WCCA TV talk show is hosted and produced by WCCA’s Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale. Mauro’s guests, Liz Myska and Rachel Weir, enlighten the viewers about a self defense program for the blind, called 1Touch: http://www.wccatv.com/video/soapbox/sopbox873 . In another episode Mauro interviews Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum, a holistic clinical pharmacist and founder & CEO of ‘Rx Integrative Solutions’, a private consulting practice in holistic medicine.
