An Encore of the pre-recorded live ” Mayoral Debate 2015″, a partnership with WCCA TV and Worcester Magazine , will be cable and simulcast at wccatv.com on Fridays, Oct. 16th and 23rd at 9:30pm.

The debate was held and video taped at WCCA TV in Worcester on Oct. 7th, 2015 and was hosted and Moderated by Mauro DePasquale, Executive Director of WCCA, and Walter Bird, Editor of the Worcester Magazine, who presented questions and topics to the candidates.

The show can be found soon at wccatv.com for “On Demand” viewing for free.

Following a brief technical bump in the beginning, the Mayoral Debate co-presented by WCCA TV and Worcester Magazine was cable and webcast last night. A few parties we are aware of had on-line chats going while the program played for an hour and a half on WCCA TV 194. And we thank the many viewers who wrote into us with their comments and encouraging words.

Worcester Magazine Photographer and Blogger also covered it on their site offering another venue for people to follow. WoMag’s Walter Bird asked some in depth questions, as I ( Mauro DePasquale) moderated the event. The dynamic and philosophical differences between the Candidates were clear the follow ups were good and the candidates had an opportunity to ask each other questions.

This was a community production and offered as a public service as a part of WCCA TV’s traditional Voter Education project, The VEP was one of the first things I instituted at WCCA back in in 1990. In fact WCCA TV was the FIRST TV station to cover in depth local politics and elections coverage since 1986.

Thank you to the many WCCA TV volunteers, WCCA and WoMag staff, and especially the candidates for making last night the success it was.
