SING FOR THE YEAR, SING FOR THE LAUGHTER, SING FOR THE TEAR! WCCA TV is seeking young singers between the ages of 14-19 for an exciting ANNUAL singing competition “NEW VOICES AWARDS 2015”. This is an exclusive WCCA TV and unique vocal competition for Worcester’s best young singers ages 14-19. Finalists may be eligible to win fabulous prizes, including a feature appearance on the WCCA TV popular music shows BandEdge and Video Jam. Want to participate? Congratulations to Jennifer Pichierri, WCCA TV staff member and television producer, who has been recognized and awarded as a regional leader and on-site mentor in the field of community television. Jen’s 20-year long career here at WCCA TV has been dedicated to facilitating experiential learning and teaching the craft of video production and TV journalism to countless of college students and interns. We congratulate Jen and her ever evolving team of students, interns and volunteers for producing over 600 episodes of our weekly Worcester Community News TV Magazine. 600 episodes!! Now that’s a true success story!!

SOAPBOX, with host Mauro DePasquale, is all new in November. The show will feature Worcester Community Action Council, certified life coach Pauline Robertson, the New England Amputee Association, as well as Girls Inc. Soapbox can be seen Wednesdays at 8:30pm, Saturdays at 10:30pm and Sundays at 6:30pm on WCCA TV, now on Channel 194. It also streams live online at those times at www.wccatv.com . Shelter killing is the leading cause of death for healthy dogs and cats in the United States. But it doesn’t have to be, according to ‘The No Kill Revolution in America’ author and film maker, Nathan Winograd. WCCA TV will air the film ‘Redemption’ all month long on Channel 194.
