MAY 2, 2016 For IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mt Carmel Parishioners to hold a vigil on Wednesday at 6 PM on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at Mt Carmel-St. Anne Church, Worcester, MA.

The parishioners of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Anne invite all to share in a prayer vigil for the continuation of the parish family at the current site on Mulberry St. at 6 p.m. Wednesday May 4, 2016.

Let us join together to celebrate this vibrant community, its history and its legacy. We may not be able to save the church building but we must save the parish.

Check out the parish financial at: http://worcesterdiocese.org/documents/2015/12/Mount%20Carmel%20-%20Worcester.pdf and compare with other parishes in the diocese. Our revenue is adequate it’s the management of the expenses. Let the clergy administer the sacraments and the parishioners manage the operations and finance.

Please join us in solidarity and friendship on Wednesday. Hopefully this will culminate in a dialogue with the diocese on ways to keep Mt. Carmel-St. Anne whole.

Life-long parish member

Play about Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity

Innocenzo is a comedic, poetic, musical touring performance for all ages about a clown trying to live in the 21st century. Our title character moves to a city in Switzerland only to fall sick. After visiting many doctors and healers unable to explain his bewildering symptoms, he finally understands his illness is being caused by electromagnetic pollution and begins to heal . . .

The story is inspired by the real life experience of its’ co-creator Godeliève Richard. You can read Godeliève’s story here: http://mieuxprevenir.blogspot.ch/2014/03/switzerland-waves-make-me-ill-testimony.htm lInnocenzo’s music was written with award-winning singer-songwriter Carrie Ferguson, who also tours with the performance. Our collaboration with Carrie was honored by a grant from Club Passim’s Iguana Fund.

2. Media reports regarding Worcester smart meter pilot paint a glowing pro-industry story:

http://www.masslive.com/news/worcester/index.ssf/2016/03/national_grid_touts_success_of.html

“Noting $1.25 million in customer savings and 2,300 megawatt-hours in energy savings, National Grid says its Worcester Smart Grid pilot program has been a huge success in the first year.”

Media reports are based partly on this report that the DPU filed under a 2010 docket:
