WCCA TV Special Presentations

WCCA TV’s Voter Education Program presents Foro Latino Di Los Candidatos – a Candidate Forum for the Latin Community – which took place at the studios of WCCA TV, on October 16, 2018. Candidates in attendance were Blake Rubin, Katie Toomey, Paul De Palo, and Tracy Lovvern. The panel consisted of Tina Velazquez, Tania Romero, and Antero Amparo. WCCA TV’s host and producer, Tommy Colletta, hosted the event with the assistance of Yarelis Velez, Carmen Lounis, and Jensy Rosario. Don’t forget to vote this November!

WCCA TV attended the Pre-Open Press Tour of the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Visitor Center in Worcester, on Monday, October 22, 2018. Attending the event were Congressman James McGovern, Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus, and more. The new visitor center, with state-of-the-art exhibits, will serve as a recreational and cultural resource and a gateway to the city of Worcester and the communities located in the Blackstone River Valley Heritage Corridor. The event was recorded and edited by WCCA TV’s, Adam Rice.

WCCA TV’s Front Row will be interviewing Buddy, The Elf, when he comes to Worcester’s Hanover Theatre on November 10! Do you or your kids have a question for Buddy? WCCA TV’s NEW VOICES 2018 shot the “AUDITION EPISODE” Last night, the first of three episodes of New Voices. Amazing singer from all over the Commonwealth registered and participated. WCCA also combed social media with it’s continual open call for young singers ages 14- 21 up until the last hour of the studio shooting started. Out of all who participated in the Audition Episode, only 5 will be selected to move forward to teh semifinals. Stay tuned cable cast will soon be announced.   • Sound Check, produced by Stefano Trafecante, is a real-life, unscripted program featuring the local talents of bands and song writers in the Worcester area. Featured in this episode is Tinderbox Circus Sideshow. From Lexington, Kentucky, The Tinderbox Circus Sideshow performs at Ralph’s Rock Diner in Worcester on their 2018 tour. Exclusively on WCCA TV!!
  • Static Fusion is an alternative performance art and musical variety program produced with the facilities of WCCA TV. The show is put together by the creative genius of Jim Racicot and Uncle Allen. Jim takes us to the Caribbean Festival, then starts checking out PowWow Worcester artworks, and wraps the show up at stART on the Street.
  • This Is Worcester is a WCCA TV program, hosted and produced by community activist Bill Coleman. The program focuses on interesting Worcester area facts and history. Bill talks with Deb Huegel and Joseph Townsend from Habitat For Humanity. In another episode, Bill chats with Kelly Jenkins on the topic of Equality in Massachusetts.
  • Ben Alotey, one of WCCA TV’s longest active producers, is the host of Ben Behind the Scenes — a show featuring music videos, interviews, reviews, and short films. Tune in to another episode of pure entertainment.
  • It’s time to celebrate Video Jam, hosted and produced by Tracy Foley. This WCCA TV music-video show has reached a milestone – 1,000 episodes.. and counting!! Video Jam has been in continuous production for 26 years! It has introduced many local artists, as well as discovered talent that has gone on to national and worldwide stardom. It has also featured some famous musicians and bands through the years, such as Tears for Fears, Joe Strummer from The Clash, Stephen Page from the Barenaked Ladies, and more. Keep watching to see who might stop by in the future!   • Human Touch is a new WCCA TV program to spotlight refugees and to learn about their struggles, their stories, their challenges and triumphs, in order to bring about understanding and change. Host Augustine Kanjia talks with Kaska Yawo. In another episode, Augustine welcomes Desire Banguendoh.
  • Senior Speak is a program by WCCA TV in collaboration with the Worcester Senior Center. Senior issues are discussed and a good time is had by all. Senior Speak is recorded at the Worcester Senior Center, located at 128 Providence St., on Tuesdays at 2 PM. Stop by and be a part of the show!
