This class is a MUST for all aspiring TV producers, as it provides useful information about all components involved in TV production. The class is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. WCCA TV Special Presentations

On January 14, 2020, WCCA TV was proud to attend the ceremony at the Worcester City Hall to present a Key to the City to Senator Harriette Chandler in recognition of being named the 2019 Outstanding Woman State Legislator Supporting the Arts by The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Women In Government. Senator Chandler is also a supporter of Public Access and a long-time producer/host at WCCA TV, having produced around 320 episodes of her show ”Beacon Hill Chat” at the station. Congratulations Senator Chandler on your well-deserved award! Thank you for your hard work & dedication to the arts and for supporting Public Access Television!

WCCA TV Program Notes

  • Tune in to all new episodes of Soapbox in February. Host of the show and WCCA TV’s Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale, will interview Dr. Theodore Macnow, MD Pediatric Emergency Physician at Umass Memorial, to demonstrate life-saving CPR instructions for infants and children; Brayton Shanley, a No-Violence Advocate of the Agape Community; Educator and Artist, Susan Dunshee, with the latest on CBD treatments; and Author and Army Veteran, Charlie Smith, to talk about his educational series on PTSD and addiction recovery. This is meaningful and community-empowering TV at its best!   • Connecting the Dots is a non-traditional legal program with the emphasis on the attorney as a trusted advisor, with an interdisciplinary approach to solving life’s issues. Host of the show, Attorney Liz Myska, welcomes to the show Nelly Colon and Pamela Dorazio from Fallon Health.
  • This Is Worcester is a WCCA TV program hosted and produced by community activist Bill Coleman. The program focuses on interesting Worcester area facts and history. Bill’s guest is Worcester’s Poet Laureate, Juan Matos.
  • What It’s Worth is a WCCA TV show definitely worth watching! Host Tommy Colletta welcomes to the show Jared Forman from Dead Horse Hill, Andrew Day from the Flying Rhino, and Domenic Mercurio, the founder of Worcester’s Best Chef competition.
  • Welcome to Rosen’s Round Table, a political and current issue program hosted by City Councilor Gary Rosen and produced by WCCA TV. This week’s panel members are Gary Vecchio, Candy Mero-Carlson and Moe Bergman. Wayfaring Signs are popping up in Worcester. Gary Vecchio calls them useless totem poles. Do the City Councilors agree with him? Tune in to find out! In another episode, the guys talk about where should the new Doherty Memorial High School be put.
  • Healthy Living is a WCCA TV show that features interviews with medical doctors and allied health individuals regarding important health-related issues. Host of the show Dr. Donald Pelto welcomes Prashanth Bala from The Surgery Center in Shrewsbury.
  • Activate Worcester, hosted by Ron Motta, is a WCCA TV program that shows viewers how to participate and become active in Worcester. Ron’s guest is Sarah Galvin, an important member of Marie’s Misson. In another episode, Ron welcomes Debby Dugan, the chairwoman of the Renew Massachusetts Coalition.
  • Welcome to another episode of Hidden Treasures. Host Bill Safer helps you learn how to find that hidden antique or collectible that just may add cash to your life. Bill’s guest is WCCA’s IT Specialist John Simakauskas, whose interests include antiques & collectibles. The topic of discussion is Vintage Postcards – how were they made and what makes them valuable.
  • WCCA TV’s independent, eclectic music-video show, Video Jam, with host Tracy Foley, will feature music from Jonas Brothers, Anthony Flammia, Conan Gray, Sebastian Mikael, Salt Cathedral, Grey, and The Avett Brothers. Tune in to ‘Video Jam’ on Fridays at 9 pm and Saturdays at 7 pm on WCCA TV, Channel 194 in Worcester MA. The show streams live at the same time worldwide at www.wccatv.com, where you can also download past shows. Keep on jammin’!!
  • Tune in to WCCA TV’s A Journey of Words, hosted by author and poet Catherine Reed. This is a show for all ages that features interviews with local poets, who talk about the inspiration behind their work and read some of their poems. Catherine welcomes to the show poet Emmanuel Freeman.
    • Senior Speak is a program by WCCA TV in collaboration with the Worcester Senior Center. Senior issues are discussed and a good time is had by all. Senior Speak is recorded at the Worcester Senior Center, located at 128 Providence St, on Tuesdays at 2 PM. Stop by and be a part of the show!
