WCCA’s YOUTH Production Team and Worcester Arts Council partners to place the spot light on local artist. Special thanks also to Juliet Feibal of Arts Worcester for helping align local artist with WCCA’s young producers. The program was directed by WCCA’s own youth coordinator Chelsea Tice.
The WAC PROGRAM ( a simple title ) is something WCCA’s local youth worked very had on.
The team of young students call WCCA’s “Youth Video: Promoters of Local Artist Project” consisted of 6 youths from Worcester.
The purpose of the program is to teach youth about public access, how to operate a camera/equipment, learning & promote local artists, and having fun while learning. For this project, the youth interviewed 3 Worcester artists and received, through the documentary, an inside perspective on being an artist in Worcester.
In a few weeks students learned: to operate video equipment; participated in pre and post production activities; built personal connections with the local artist; and art related organizations; designed and produced an informative short form expose on the participating artist; and had lot’s of fun.
This fun, interesting and educational presentation will cable and webcast on WCCA TV 13 on
July 2 at 10:30pm, July 3 at 2pm, and again on July 5 at 6:30pm.
