Due to Technical Difficulty BEYOND our control . . .

Due to technical reasons beyond our control we are experiencing a channel outage. Apparently only WCCA TV channel 13 is not working, since about 7 AM. We contacted CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS and they said they are looking into it. We will keep you posted ASAP. Thank you for your patience. Mean while, you can watch your favorite WCCA TV shows on line at WCCA TV website our internal signal is working fine. It seems to be a problem somewhere in the Charter System.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Kings Speech a cast made up of NAACP and Community members read the beautiful and moving words express by Dr. King.
The program took place behind Worcester’s City Hall on August 28th, 2013 and it includes some very interesting interviews as well.

WCCA TV YOUTH MEDIA TEAM has fun while documenting the Worcester Ecotarium Tree Climbing Expedition . The group produced a video to journal the fun and it has been posted on the WCCA website at
Ecotarium Tree Climb FUN

WCCA TV YOUTH MEDIA TEAM members took part in the Tree Climbing Expedition at the Ecotarium in Worcester, Mass. where they learned how to use tree climbing equipment from experienced climbers. You can even don a harness and helmet and ascend by rope into the leafy canopy of one of the savanna’s giant oaks.

Tree Climbing Expeditions are held for a maximum of 10 climbers (must be at least 7 years old) and a total expedition size of 20 participants. Chaperones are required for children up to age 16 (one adult per 10 children).

WCCA TV building bridges with BRIDGEFEST 2013 and standing for food justice with REC Farmers Market

WCCA TV 13 is a proud media sponsor of Bridgefest 2013 : A 5K Run /Walk and Family Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21st at Beaver Brook Park on Mann Street in Worcester from 10am to 2pm. There will be arts and crafts, raffles, food and entertainment. The proceeds are to benefit the Health and Wellness Initiative for individuals served by the Bridge. WCCA TV 13 is a proud media sponsor the Regional Environmental Council Farmers Market which includes the Main South Market at the Fuller Family Park on Murray Ave on Saturdays, 10am-2pm, as well as the Beaver Brook Market in Beaver Brook Park on Chandler Street on Mondays from 9:30am to 2pm. Don’t forget about the Mobile Farmers Market – aka the “Veggie Mobile” – with 15 stops around the City of Worcester on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The REC has been providing farmers markets to the community since 2008 in response to an identified need for more sources of fresh, local, healthy and affordable produce in Worcester. WCCA TV is proud to help the REC spread the word to our community!

WCCA TV recently conducted a ‘TV13 Open Mic’ on the subject of the Slot Parlor/Hotel Project proposed in Worcester. A number of Worcester area residents participated at the open-mic event and expressed their opinion on the matter. This program will be cable and webcast, and is available for on-demand viewing at WCCA’s website. Cablecast days and times are:

What’s on WCCA TV13? Plenty of great local programming created and presented to you by your friends and neighbors! Ben Allotey, longtime member of WCCA TV and producer of ‘Youth Session’, is back on the channel with ‘Ben: Behind the Scenes’, a show that features many interesting topics. ‘High School: A Survivor’s Guide’ is a show that sheds light on a number of issues that high school students face, such as bullying, prescription drug misuse, eating disorders, teenage depression, and gay bashing. ‘Drawing with Mark’ with animator Mark Marderosian, is a program designated for children who love to draw. Mark teaches your children how to draw as they learn all about dinosaurs, the solar system, and other fascinating topics. ‘Drawing with Mark’ is seen weekly on Channel 13, on Sundays at 2 pm. It’s that time of the year again! WCCA TV 13 is again a proud media sponsor of Father’s Fest at Institute Park in Worcester. The event will take place on Saturday, June 15th, from 12pm till 4pm. Students and teachers, Amy Plante and Kathy Oulette, from The Grow School in Dudley Massachusetts, recently toured WCCA TV 13 in Worcester to learn about public access television and how they can get involved by becoming interns, technical directors, editors and even hosts of their very own show. The tour was led by Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale .
