MA Attorney General Maura Healy’s Energy and Environmental Bureau is partnering with Mass Audubon to host a Listening Session for the Greater Worcester Area Monday, June 13th at the Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center and & Wildlife Sanctuary (414 Massasoit Road Worcester, MA 01604) from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

“This Listening Session will begin with a brief overview of the work of the Energy and Environment Bureau, but will be devoted to hearing directly from residents about the range of issues that concern you—whether it’s drinking water quality, childhood asthma in your community, lead paint, water pollution, proposed energy projects, climate change, toxic chemicals in the environment, energy costs, solar power, pollinator health, or another issue, we want to hear your thoughts!

MA residents filed a fraud complaint with the MA Attorney General concerning health and safety claims by the DPU and National Grid for the controversial smart meter pilot program in Worcester, including tobacco scientist Peter Valberg’s safety testimony. Activists have also challenged the interim report and misleading math regarding pilot retention and purported energy and cost savings.
