Happy Valentine’s Day !

Happy St. Valentine’s Day everyone. As with the Worcester Public Schools, WCCA TV 13 had cancelled today’s in-studio community production activities and all after school youth media workshops, as well as, our community computer lab. We know you need more time to watch the now over 3,700 Worcester produced WCCA TV videos on demand at http://www.wccatv.com/ so keep watching. Enjoy Monday’s President’s Day holiday. Basic TV studio Workshop is scheduled for tommorrow ( Saturday Feb. 15th). All other WCCA TV TV/media/journalism classes, intern activities, will all resume on Tuesday, February 18. This is an opportunity to apply skills in TV/photo journalism, Television Production, Audio-Video, Editing, Computer Graphics, Set Designer, Interviews, Public Speaking, Acting, Script Writing, Studio and ENG Field production, etc. in a real word-out of the class room setting. This is an ideal opportunity for any communications, film, TV production, Journalism , applied arts, student.

The station is located at 415 Main Street, Downtown Worcester, and the period for Intern Registration and Interviews begins Sept . 9, 2013 and remains ongoing throughout the season.

WCCA TV YOUTH MEDIA TEAM has fun while documenting the Worcester Ecotarium Tree Climbing Expedition . The group produced a video to journal the fun and it has been posted on the WCCA website at
Ecotarium Tree Climb FUN

WCCA TV YOUTH MEDIA TEAM members took part in the Tree Climbing Expedition at the Ecotarium in Worcester, Mass. where they learned how to use tree climbing equipment from experienced climbers. You can even don a harness and helmet and ascend by rope into the leafy canopy of one of the savanna’s giant oaks.

Tree Climbing Expeditions are held for a maximum of 10 climbers (must be at least 7 years old) and a total expedition size of 20 participants. Chaperones are required for children up to age 16 (one adult per 10 children).

WCCA TV 13 presents “ Candidate Profile 2013:City Council “ as a part of the station’s continuing Voter Education Programming. This series is hosted by the station’s Executive Director, Mauro DePasquale.

Presented in three parts the program will feature interviews with participating Candidates for Worcester’s City Council.

Part One with candidates:
Sarai Rivera, Bill Eddy, Jennithan Cortes, Michael Gaffney, Bill Coleman, Konnie Lukes, and William Feegbeh , will air on Friday, August 2 & 16 at 9:30pm and stream live on line at wccatv.com

Part Two with candidates:
Tony Economou, Morris Bergman, Phil Palmieri, Peter Kush, Gary Rosen, and Mesfin Beshir
will air on Fridays, August 9 & 23 and stream live on line at wccatv.com

Part Three with candidate Chris Rich will air on August 2 and 16 and stream live on line at wccatv.com
