On this episode of the Chandler Chat, host Harriette Chandler welcomes Allen Fletcher, founder and president of the Worcester Public Market, Inc., and community and government liaison with the city of Worcester and Commonwealth. Allen has played a large role in the shaping the city, from founding and boarding the Greater Worcester Land Trust, Worcester Youth Center, Union Station Alliance, Fletcher/Priest Gallery, Bijou Community Cinema and the Canal District Alliance. They speak on his lifelong commitment to philanthropy, community development and social responsibility, tracing his journey working with the Peace Corps in West Africa to studying architecture and urban planning, and eventually leading him back to Worcester.
