On this episode of the Chandler Chat, host Harriette Chandler welcomes back Julie Bowditch, Executive Director of the CASA Project of Worcester County. CASA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interest of children in foster care in Worcester County. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are assigned to amplify the children’s voices, advocate for their best interests, and support them on their path towards a safe and permanent home. They discuss upcoming fundraisers, including the Fund-Raver night of nostalgia, the family-friendly CASA-Palooza music festival, and "The Sky's The Limit" skydiving fundraiser, and they reflect on how Senator Chandler first advocated for state funding of the CASA project back in 1995.
