On this episode of the Chandler Chat, host Harriette Chandler speaks with Rochelle Reich, the new Executive Director of the Worcester JCC, or Jewish Community Center, located at 633 Salisbury Street in Worcester. A native of Shrewsbury, Rochelle reflects on her journey returning to Central Mass after two decades in Ashville, North Carolina, where she served in leadership roles at the Asheville JCC and in the Jewish community. They speak on the services offered at the Worcester JCC, not just to Jewish members, but serving over 1,100 households of whom 70% are non-Jewish. Finally, they discuss the future plans for the JCC, raising funds for the renovation and upkeep of their aging facilities, and providing inclusive educational, health, wellness, social, and recreational programing for years to come.
