On this episode of the Chandler Chat, host Harriette Chandler speaks with Dr. Beth Greenberg, licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor of counseling and behavioral health at William James College, to discuss mental health concerns among children, teens and young adults. They speak on signs to look for in loved ones who may be struggling with their mental health and how best to support them and confront these challenges. They discuss the differences between therapy, psychiatry, psychology and social work. Finally they address some of the issues that the mental health field faces, from a need for more mental health professionals, to the inadequacies of the US's private health insurance model, and the still very present social stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health.
