On this episode of the Chandler Chat, host Harriette Chandler welcomes back Worcester City Clerk Nikolin "Niko" Vangjeli and Deputy City Clerk Clare Robbins, to discuss the upcoming November 3rd State Elections. They speak on voter registration, the expected voter turnout, early and mail-in voting options, poll worker volunteership and the nine questions on this year's ballot, the most since 1994. They review the process of how the Attorney General approves ballot measures, and discuss some of the questions being put to voters, on making record available to the public, revisiting the legality of marijuana, zoning and land use for housing development, and whether to implement same-day voter registration, which the City Clerk's office would oversee in future elections if passed. Finally, they speak on voter education and student engagement in local politics.
