Connecting the Dots, hosted by attorney Liz Myska, is a non-traditional legal program that highlights the attorney as a trusted advisor through an interdisciplinary approach to solving life's issues. In this episode, Liz welcomes Theresa Kane, Executive Director of the Polus Center, along with Program Directors Josh Pearson and Katie Crocker, to discuss their newly produced documentary "Blind in the Bay State: Stories From Across the Generations." A screening of the film is expected to take place at the Worcester Public Library in mid-October. The mission of the Polus Center for Social and Economic Development, Inc. is to support people from marginalized communities to reach their highest potential. In the U.S., this includes a range of services for people who are blind or visually impaired, workforce training and job-driven services for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment, and other innovative person-centered initiatives that improve the lives of people from vulnerable communities.
