Health Matters 252: Water Safe Worcester

Health Matters is a program from the Worcester District Medical Society. Host Dr. Bruce Karlin welcomes Mike Bedard and Victoria Taieb to discuss Water Safe Worcester. They explain what a typical 90-minute session looks like and what the children experience during that time, what inspired them to become involved with Water Safe Worcester, and why water safety is important to them as future doctors. They also share a memorable moment from their swim lessons that demonstrates the impact of the program, what they hope participating children take away from it, and what they would say to other medical students interested in getting involved in community outreach.
