Human Touch, hosted by Augustine Kanjia, is a program to spotlight refugees and to learn about their struggles, their stories, their challenges and triumphs in order to bring about understanding and change. Augustine's guest is Désiré Banguendoh. Désiré Banguendoh is a refugee from the Central African Republic, a proud US citizen, and a Worcester resident of over 12 years. He and Augustine discuss the difficulties commonly faced by refugees, from political violence in their native countries, the limitations of international aid, and the terrible economic and emotional strain felt by refugees starting fresh in a foreign land, often supporting less fortunate family members.
