WCCA TV Executive Director Mauro DePasquale interviews Kristin Hartness, Executive Director of Canines for Disabled Kids. The organization supports the creation of child–canine service dog teams to promote independence and social awareness. Offering free services to families and communities across the United States, Canines for Disabled Kids helps connect children with the service dog that can best assist them in overcoming disabilities, while helping communities become welcoming and supportive of these special partnerships. Scholarships are offered to help cover training costs. Kristin explains what a service animal is, how CDK supports service dog partners and their communities, when kids should be considered for service dogs, and details the 5th Annual Rappel to raise awareness and funds on November 15 at 120 Front Street in Worcester. https://caninesforkids.org.
