Soapbox 1401: Good Neighbor Energy Fund

WCCA TV Executive Director Mauro DePasquale interviews Damaris Dominguez, Lead Community Manager for National Grid. The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund helps households who earn too much to qualify for traditional assistance programs but still struggle to pay their heating bills. Many working families and seniors fall into this gap. The fund provides grants that can prevent service interruptions and help families stay safely heated during the coldest months. Assistance is administered locally by The Salvation Army, and the application process is simple and confidential. Since its inception in 1985, the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund has raised more than $25.5 million and helped over 97,500 households remain safe.
