Drawing from personal experience, including his upbringing in the Pentecostal church, as well as themes of loss, racial struggle, and spiritual renewal, Pastor Perez explores how institutional religion can drift from its original purpose, often replacing relationship with ritual and truth with tradition. Emphasizing restoration rather than criticism, the book seeks to inspire healing within the Church.
