Worcester Public Library celebrates National Library Week

The Worcester Public Library celebrated National Library Week April 13-19, 2014 and the celebration included an appearance by City Mgr. Edward M. Augustus on April 16th at the Tatnuck Magnet Branch library, sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. WCCA TV 13 cameras were rolling as he read to the children and encouraged them to read often and to visit their local libraries. National Library Week was first sponsored in 1958 by the American Library Association and is now celebrated nationally in libraries across the country each April.
