On this series from WCCA TV, host Deacon Walter Doyle introduces us to Streetlights, where he shares moving and true stories from his 46 years as co-director of the Urban Missionaries of Our Lady of Hope, helping "the least, the last and the left-out." While these stories may be about everyday people, some who need just a little help and some who are in dire straights, all these stories spark reflection and compassion, and hopefully move you to perform "reckless acts of caring" in your own life!
In this eighth episode, Deacon Walter Doyle speaks on a book donation of some 60,000 books to the Department of Children and Families (or DCF) of Massachusetts, refurbishing a donated fish tank for the Little Store, and helping immigrant and refugee families find housing, helping them navigate the bureaucracy of public housing programs and lending them rental assistance.
