Masha opens this week's local youth news with a story about author Jane Yolen and a story about a national writing contest for students in grades K-12. The contest is being hosted at the Winterthur Museum. She also has some great new book releases for those interested in vampires, ogres and scary stories. She also has a great story about a new program "Safe Products in Neighborhoods". This program is led by peer leaders from the Worcester Youth Center.
The Boys and Girls Club will host another Community Day with a theme of working together for safe homes and healthy children. The American Cancer Society is helping cancer patients to Look Good and Feel Better. And Holy Cross College is hosting the 2007 Teen Pregnancy Institute.
