This Is Worcester, originally created by community activist Bill Coleman, continues to highlight important local voices and issues. In this new episode, host Fred Nathan interviews artist Clay Tull of Southbridge. They discuss Clay's background, where does he find inspiration for his work, what's his favorite type of art to create, and the challenges he's had to face. As a person with disabilities, he uses his art as a touchstone to change perceptions. Clay's favorite art to create is abstract surreal expressionism built with palette‑knife sculpting and dual‑lighting pigments. Through his art, he aims to transform chaos into meaning, inviting viewers to reshape how art is viewed, felt, and understood. Clay's work will be included in ArtsWorcester's 14th Annual "One: A Members' Exhibition," on view from July 15 to August 2 at ArtsWorcester main galleries.
