On this episode of Yay Art!, host Scott Nelson, co-founder of Two Bridges Art Academy, speaks with local artist PHEEBZ, a local interdisciplinary and community-engaged artist working as a muralist, collaborator, curator, studio artist, activist, and educator. They preview some pages from their sketchbook, and speaks on how to take small stream-of-consciousness thumbnails and sketches and size them up to large murals.
Back in his studio, Scott creates a monochromatic pen-and-ink drawing, demonstrating how to bring out textures and differentiate values when limited to only one color.
